Amanda knox italian court, Amanda Knox may appear in an Italian courtroom again.
But this time, Italians and the press will only get to see her on a screen, via video conference from Seattle, if she testifies in the defamation case against her parents.
Knox is the only witness expected to defend her parents, Curt Knox and Edda Mellas, who are charged with defaming five police officers with the Perugia crime squad.
"Amanda will probably not come back to Italy,'' said Carlo Dalla Vedova, her attorney. "If she has to testify, she will probably do so via video conference, which is allowed."
In October, Knox, along with her former Italian boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, was acquitted of the 2007 murder of Knox's British roommate, Meredith Kercher.
Cesar Chavez Day, When Barack Obama campaigned to be the nation's 44th president, he used the simple mantra, "Yes We Can" -- a translation of civil rights leader Cesar Chavez's chant, "Si se puede."
Now, nearly four years after the presidential election, Obama's paying homage to the man whose words helped him win office, decreeing Saturday, March 31st of 2012, the 85th anniversary of the civil rights icon's birthday, Cesar Chavez Day.
The civil rights leader, who fought for fair wages and humane treatment for California's farm workers in California, championed principles of nonviolence through boycotts, fasts, and marches. In conjunction with Dolores Huerta, Chavez founded the United Farm Workers of America, an organization devoted to defending the rights of farmhands and field workers across the country.
Earlier this week, the White House honored ten local leaders who "exemplify Cesar Chavez's core values," inviting the activists, farmworkers, and professors to speak at a panel called, "Champions of Change," hosted by HuffPost LatinoVoices blogger, Viviana Hurtado.
One of those "champions" was Rogelio Lona, a a farm worker, activist, and community organizer who worked in the fields of California for more than 47 years.
Bin Laden wife offers account of their years spent in hiding, Osama bin Laden spent nine years on the run in Pakistan after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, and during that time he moved among five safe houses and fathered four children, at least two of whom were born in a government hospital, his youngest wife has told Pakistani investigators.
The testimony of Amal Ahmad Abdul Fateh, bin Laden’s 30-year-old wife, offers the most detailed account yet of life on the run for the family in the years preceding the US commando raid in May 2011 that killed the leader of Al Qaeda at the age of 54.
Her account is contained in a police report dated Jan. 19 that, as an account of that frantic period, contains manifest flaws: Fateh’s words are paraphrased by a police officer, and there is noticeably little detail about the Pakistanis who helped her husband evade his US pursuers. Nevertheless, it raises fresh questions about how the world’s most-wanted man managed to shunt his family among cities that span the breadth of Pakistan, apparently undetected and unmolested by the otherwise formidable security services.
Katrina darrell arrested, Do you remember the name Katrina Darrell? Us either. She was the chick who, in an attempt to desperately get attention secure a spot on “American Idol” back in 2009, auditioned in a bikini. Well now she’s getting her name in the papers again, and this time, it’s for an even more embarrassing reason: Katrina Darrell was arrested for DUI—while driving to the hospital!
According to TMZ, it happened this morning in LA at 12:16 AM. Darrell, 24, was driving her mother to the hospital after she had taken a fall at home. Minor problem, though: Katrina ran a red light, smashed into another car, and then tried to TAKE OFF! Unfortunately for her, a cop saw the whole thing and stopped her.
Kat blew a .15 and .17. Yes, the legal limit is .08. Yikes! Despite the fact that she was crying like a baby the whole time, she was taken to the police station, cited, and released a little after six in the morning. TMZ says that she could be charged with a hit and run, too. THAT…would suck horribly.
What about Mom? While Katrina was busy getting arrested, an ambulance came for her.
Octomom Nadya Suleman received $8,000 to pose nearly nude for Britain's Closer magazine, and says she would do it again to pay her bills.
"You wanna know how much I got? I got $8,000," Suleman told Anderson Cooper on his talk show airing March 30, 2012. "I'll be honest: I did it for money.
"I have to do what I have to do to take care of my family, and I'm not ashamed. I'm not ashamed at all...I've never sacrificed my morals and values. I am covered. I had to think about that. I reflected on that quite a bit before choosing to do it."
Nadya, a 36-year-old single mom raising 14 children, has been celibate for 13 years, and says she'd rather pose nude or topless for money than use men for financial support.

Jaleel White Ex's Abuse Allegations Are 'Hurtful', Jaleel White is a family favorite competing on this season of Dancing with the Stars , but the former child star’s baby mama has made the shocking claim that he’s an abusive cheater!
White, 35, who played the beloved Steve Urkel on Family Matters, has a 2-year-old daughter named Samaya with Bridget Hardy, and she has never spoken about their allegedly abusive relationship -- until now -- in an exclusive interview with Star magazine.
“He blew up,” she tells Star about a fight the couple had after she confronted Jaleel over evidence of cheating she says she found on his phone in May 25, 2010.
“He hit me across the chest area,” she says.
Jaleel has vehemently denied any wrongdoing and has never been charged, but Bridget is finally telling her side of the story about what she claims are her ex’s violent tendencies, intense insecurities and abusive behavior.
On that fateful day, Bridget claims Jaleel followed her into the bathroom. “He pushed me into the toilet, and it broke. Water went everywhere, through the walls and even to the kitchen downstairs,” she says.
Bridget alleges that this wasn’t the only instance that he lashed out at her.

Sanford McDonnell, former McDonnell Douglas CEO, dies at 89
by umer | 5:22 AM in News, Sanford McDonnell |
Sanford McDonnell, former McDonnell Douglas CEO, dies at 89, Sanford "Sandy" McDonnell, the former chief executive of aerospace giant McDonnell Douglas Corp. who in the 1970s helped turn around the company started by his uncle, died Monday. He was 89.
His death was announced by Boeing Co., which acquired McDonnell Douglas in 1997. McDonnell's family told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at Thanksgiving 2010 and died at his home in Clayton, Mo.
Although McDonnell Douglas was headquartered in St. Louis and was the region's largest company, it had a major presence in Southern California that continues to this day. The sprawling factory in Long Beach that now houses construction of Boeing's C-17 cargo planes is where McDonnell Douglas once produced commercial airliners, including the MD-80 and later the MD-95.
"The people of Boeing extend our deepest sympathies to the McDonnell family, and join them in mourning Sandy's passing," Boeing Chief Executive Jim McNerney said in a statement. "Sandy's commitment to his colleagues and customers, his country, and his community during his 40-year career and throughout his lifetime, was extraordinary."

Kate Winslet titanic embarrassment, Some of criticized Cameron for capitalizing on the tragedy of the Titanic by re-releasing the movie in 3D but the director insists that this is a project of love.
Cameron said:
“One of the reasons I made Titanic was that I was fascinated by deep sea exploration. It was an opportunity to dive in a submarine very deep at that time… Look, there’s always going to be people that can piss in the soup of anything good. But frankly I think that remembering Titanic, remembering the history… that’s what the film was there for. That’s why I made it, you know. I was fascinated by the story, I was fascinated by the history, the people that were heroic, the people that lost their lives. I was genuinely touched by the tragedy when I was there at the wreck.
Claudia schiffer guess 2012, "There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged," Nelson Mandela wrote once, "to find the ways in which you yourself have altered."
Unless you're Claudia Schiffer, of course, and returning to the brand that launched your name several decades ago proves just how much you've stayed the same.
The German supermodel will be revisiting her famous black and white ads for Guess?, shooting a series of similar spots in honor of the brand's 30th anniversary. Just as she did in her six campaigns shot between 1989 and 1991, Schiffer will be posing for photographer Ellen von Unwerth.
"[Schiffer] was a turning point of Guess, she was a turning point of Ellen’s career, Guess was a turning point of a life for Claudia,” Guess CEO Paul Marciano told Women's Wear Daily. In 1989, Schiffer had only recently been discovered and Guess as a company was only about eight years old.
But Ellen's photographs, particularly one showing Claudia with upswept hair wearing nothing but a black lace bustier, made everyone take notice. At the time, she was just around 19 years old.
Andrea Yates church, Andrea Yates, the Houston mom who in 2001 drowned her five young children one-by-one in the bathtub, might soon be allowed to leave the state psychiatric hospital where she is being treated for mental illness to attend church.
"She's been approved by a certain church to attend Sunday services, and I anticipate that that recommendation will be forthcoming from her doctors," Yates' attorney George Parnham told ABCNews.com. He would not name the church.
Parnham said he expects doctors at Kerrville State Hospital to file a letter to the state district court within 10 days recommending that Yates be granted a two-hour pass to attend church on Sundays, the first step toward a permanent release.
"I hope that little by little she will adapt to the outside world by taking baby steps," he said.
Infiniti hybrid guinness, Here's an intriguing fact: The Infiniti M luxury sedan that's listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for its acceleration prowess is the same M that has the best fuel economy rating of the lineup.
It's because the Guinness record holder is the new-for-2012 M35 Hybrid, which pairs a gasoline V-6 to an electric motor and lithium ion battery pack and manages the power through a seven-speed automatic transmission. There's no continuously variable transmission (CVT) here.
The M35h's combination powerplant can move the more than 4,100-pound, four-door car from standstill to 60 miles per hour in 6.1 seconds while pushing passengers' bodies firmly into the seatbacks.
This figure, provided by Infiniti, is akin to the performance of a new Chevrolet Camaro with V-6.
Yet, the M35h's federal government fuel economy rating of 27 miles per gallon in city driving and 32 mpg on the highway is the highest of all the M models. For example, the base 2012 M37 with V-6 and no electric assist is rated at 18/26 mpg.
But even with today's gasoline prices that top $3.90 a gallon, it would take M35 Hybrid drivers a while to recoup via gasoline savings the $6,000 premium that the hybrid model costs over a non-hybrid M37.
And there are other hybrids, even luxury hybrids, that have lower starting prices than the M35h's $54,595. They also have higher fuel economy, though not the record-breaking acceleration.
For instance, the 2012 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid mid-size sedan, which has a starting retail price of $35,630 is rated by the federal government at 41/36 mpg. The MKZ is a gasoline-electric hybrid with a four-cylinder engine mated to an electric motor and so doesn't have the power of the M.
The 2012 Lexus HS is a compact, luxury, hybrid sedan with a retail starting price of $37,905 and fuel efficiency rating of 35/34 mpg. The HS is powered by a four-cylinder engine and an electric motor.
The M35h is the first hybrid for Infiniti, and the brand didn't stray from what it's known for — performance and luxury.
But the test M35h seemed as much a showcase for technology as it did for showing that a hybrid can be fast and exhilarating.
Much of the M35h's technology, including the navigation system with voice recognition and on-board Zagat restaurant ratings, was optional and helped push the final sticker price to more than $67,000.
But it made an indelible impression of a car filled with so many electronic bits that it just might drive itself one day.
Note: To keep from being overwhelmed, it's best for a driver new to an option-packed M35h to take a deep breath and learn the different driver aides one by one. Example: The optional lane departure warning gives one kind of audible warning if the car starts to drift from its lane.
Another audible warning, standard on the car, arises when the M35h is in all-electric mode, because otherwise it's a silent vehicle that pedestrians might not notice. Infiniti was the first to put this pedestrian-alerting system on a car. Federal government officials have been debating whether to require audible alerts on all cars that have an electric mode.
The M hybrid system eschews a torque converter and instead uses a wet clutch and a dry clutch to manage the power from the 302-horsepower, 3.5-liter, double overhead cam V-6 and the 67-horsepower electric motor.
Drivers don't see or operate the clutches. The clutches work automatically to decouple the engine from the transmission at stops, so fuel is saved at stoplights, and allow the M35h to travel up to 62 mph on electric power alone.
It also can stay in electric mode for 1.2 miles, which is longer than many other hybrids.
The M35h judiciously monitors battery reserves and goes right to gasoline-power-only when necessary.
The test M35h required careful throttle control at startup, because the car was eager to zoom forcefully forward in electric mode from a stop.
This affected the test drive and brought an average of just 27.6 mpg in travel that was 70 percent in city traffic.
An M35h hallmark is the lack of a CVT. Other hybrids have had CVTs because these transmissions can maximize fuel economy. But they are not the top choice for acceleration.
Unfortunately, when the V-6 power would join in, there often was noticeable roughness in the test car. It was not the seamless transition that some hybrids deliver.
As is typical in hybrids, the brakes on the M35h had an artificial feel and didn't operate with a pure linear response as the brake pedal was pressed. This is due to the car's regenerative braking that captures energy and recharges the battery pack as the car is braking.
The M35h is a handsome sedan with stylish wheels and regular, not low-rolling resistance, tires. The tester had optional, large, 18-inch tires, which conveyed a good amount of road noise.
The M35h had a substantial, solid feel, and while the battery pack adds weight to the car vs. the M37, the hybrid feels well-balanced on twisty mountain roads. The only exterior clue that the car is a hybrid is the word "hybrid" on two fenders and the little "h'' next to M35 on the trunk lid.
The interior has the luxurious atmosphere of all M cars, and control buttons on the dashboard are large, with good tactile feedback. Fit and finish on the tester was excellent.
Trunk space measures 11.3 cubic feet, down from the 14.9 cubic feet of a non-hybrid M37 because the battery pack takes up some trunk space.

Michelle Duggar and overpopulation, What the world needs now is more children, declares 19 Kids and Counting mother Michelle Duggar. What about overpopulation? Not to worry, says the reality show mom. Despite the world supporting a record 7 billion people, the whole "mindset" of overpopulation is "not true; it's a lie," Duggar tells the Christian Broadcasting Network. "The idea of overpopulation is not accurate because, really, the entire population of the world, if they were stood shoulder to shoulder, could fit in the city limits of Jacksonville," says Duggar. "So if you realize that aspect of it, we realize we're not anywhere near being overpopulated," she explains.
Bengals cheerleader indicted for allegedly having sex with student , A Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader faces prison time after being indicted by a grand jury Thursday for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a teenage student while teaching at an Ohio high school, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.
The Kenton County grand jury in Covington, just south of Cincinnati, indicted Sarah Jones on first-degree sexual abuse and unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited acts. Each charge carries up to five years in prison, if Jones is found guilty.
Cheryl Jones, the cheerleader's mother, was indicted on a charge of tampering with physical evidence related to her daughter's case.
The lawyer representing the mother and daughter, Charles T. Lester Jr., said both women will plead not guilty.
"Sarah has maintained her innocence. The indictment of her mother is completely baseless," Lester said in a statement to the Enquirer.
Reebok Tebow Jersey, Well, Tim Tebow's name is everywhere else in New York ... why shouldn't it be in Nike Inc v. Reebok International, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York No. 12-2275? That's the official name of the complaint filed by sportswear giant Nike against sportswear giant Reebok. Nike, who becomes the official manufacturer of NFL merchandise and player apparel on April 1, claims that Reebok, whose similar deal with the NFL expired before March 1, manufactured replica jerseys with Tebow's name and number in a misappropriation of Nike's rights.
The lawsuit, dated March 27 and made public on Wednesday, claims that Reebok "has no authorization from Mr. Tebow or anyone else to use Mr. Tebow's name or other identification on such Jets product.
"Reebok has taken upon itself to illegitimately seize on this unique and short-lived consumer opportunity ... in order to capitalize on the public's short-lived intense consumer appetite for such products, and to prevent Nike from doing so."

“I tried everything I could to save our marriage … I was very resistant. I didn’t want it to happen,” Garth, 39, said of the split.

Trayvon martin cartoonist, As we reported earlier, a student political cartoonist at The Daily Texan has received national attention for a cartoon on the Trayvon Martin shooting in Florida. The cartoon by Stephanie Eisner has received criticism from across the country as an offensive depiction of national media coverage.
Eisner has now issued a statement on the furor her cartoon caused, saying she believes the news coverage of the shooting has been biased because Trayvon Martin was black - and that was the point she was trying to get across:
“I apologize for what was in hindsight an ambiguous cartoon related to the Trayvon Martin shooting. I intended to contribute thoughtful commentary on the media coverage of the incident, however this goal fell flat. I would like to make it explicitly clear that I am not a racist, and that I am personally appalled by the killing of Trayvon Martin. I regret any pain the wording or message of my cartoon may have caused.”
Carson Daly JetBlue_Carson Daly took to his radio show today to sound off on the JetBlue Airways pilot charged with interfering with a flight crew after sprinting through the cabin of a Las Vegas-bound flight screaming about terrorists and 9/11 -- but his comments may ruffle a few feathers among the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.
Noting that passengers wrestled Captain Clayton Osbon to the ground prior to an emergency landing, Daly said, "On this particular flight, most of the people were on their way to some sort of security conference in Las Vegas...so it was a bunch of dudes, and well-trained dudes."

He then added, "Uh, we're headed down to Vegas for the floral convention."

Prince Harry Hippo_This week, the Cango Wildlife Ranch in South Africa welcomed a royal newborn -- Prince Harry, the pygmy hippo, according to the South Africa Star.
After his mother refused to feed him, Harry had to be fed a 125 ml mixture of milk and water by Ranch employees every three hours. Afterwards, the Star reports, he is given a bath to keep his skin moist.
Pygmy hippos are currently listed as endangered, and only 3,000 of them are believed to be left in the wild. This is mostly due, ranch operations director Rob Hall told the Star, to the bushmeat trade industry.

Design Aspiration: Enchanted Garden_THE ENCHANTED GARDENS OF THE RENAISSANCE
Since man has existed, and, one might almost say, before man existed, there have been gardens.
I will refer only to the Garden of Eden which was, after all, the place in which man was born. It existed even before Adam and Eve came into the picture. One has heard of the gardens of Semiramis and the famous Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
There are traces of an Egyptian Pharaoh's garden. It was the one designed by the Pharaoh Tutmosis III within the temple complex at Karnak. More recently, literature speaks of the splendors of the gardens of the Tivoli patrons, contemporaries of the emperor Nero. From a point of view of taste, they were considered to be the grandest, most beautiful and noblest that could be imagined. This caused a jealous Nero to have even more beautiful ones designed. They adorned the Domus Aurea. They were located under the present day parking lot at the Colosseum.

Nadya Suleman's panty pictures were to pay the rent, For "Octomom" Nadya Suleman, posing nearly naked for cash appears to have been on behalf of the babies: The mother of 14, eight months behind on her mortgage, is facing eviction as early as this week, her lawyer said.
"We are working on it," attorney Jeff Czech said Tuesday, referring to a foreclosure notice the tabloid sensation received recently regarding her four-bedroom La Habra home. "The foreclosure sale is not likely this month," he said, but next.
Suleman reportedly got about $10,000 to pose in nude panties and not much else for the British magazine Closer, sources told TMZ, an amount that would allow her to move into a rental home.
Octomom told the mag -- which calls her, delightfully, "Octomum" -- that she doesn't take state aid, supporting her large family instead off of paid interviews and photo shoots, because she can't hold a regular job with all of her children. Her octuplets were born in 2009, with the other six children coming from five pregnancies, starting with her first son's birth in 2001.
Trayvon Martin Story_The tragic, unjust, infuriating story of young Trayvon Martin‘s killing has become the dominant domestic news story this week, and to the extent that it increases the possibility of justice for that young man, this is an absolute good. The fact that there is near-universal revulsion at this clear racial injustice is encouraging. At this point, Trayvon’s story leaves me with two related questions: what took so long, and will it have any lasting impact?
It seems like the most natural thing in the world, now, to be outraged by this story. To be outraged by the actions of George Zimmerman, who made a hobby of looking for trouble, and when he didn’t find it, brought some to 17 year-old Trayvon Martin, and who.To be outraged by the conduct of the Sanford Police, who took Zimmerman’s claim of self-defense at face value, without even asking “From what? Hollow-point Skittles? Full Metal Snapple?”

Amish Buggy Bill_After Amish supporters in Kentucky argued that reflective orange safety triangles was against their religion, required on slow moving vehicles such as a buggy, a bill has been passed to allow them to use silver or white reflecting tape.
Several Amish supporters in the state had been arrested and placed in jail after repeated violations of not placing the required traffic safety triangle on their horse-drawn vehicles. They are needed to make them more visible to motorists during the day and night. However, the Amish said that the triangle too closely resembled the religious symbol of the Trinity, which they are not allowed to display.

Jetblue las vegas flight diverted, A JetBlue flight bound for Las Vegas was diverted to Texas on Tuesday following what federal authorities described as erratic behavior by the captain, who passengers said had to be restrained after he pounded on the locked cockpit door.
The FBI is investigating the incident on Flight 191 from New York, which had 135 passengers on board when the pilot-in-command decided to redirect the plane to Amarillo, Texas.
JetBlue said in a statement the flight was diverted due to a "medical situation" involving the captain but made no mention of any commotion on board.
Passengers who were on the plane described a chaotic mid-flight scene in which a man in a JetBlue uniform, apparently locked out of the cockpit, began banging on the door and demanding to be let inside. Passengers subdued him.
Mega millions march 27 2012, Officials have also raised the cash jackpot estimate to $259 million, up from $255 million. While the annuity payout will not set a record, the cash payout, whatever it amounts to, will be a record. The final numbers for the jackpot won't be known until after ticket sales are final.
Prior to tonight's jackpot, the record for Mega Millions' top cash prize had been set on January 4, 2011. The annuity jackpot for that drawing was $380 Million, which is still the second largest in history. Two tickets, one sold in Idaho and another in Washington both won the jackpot and split the prize, splitting the cash option jackpot of $240 million.
The reason the annuity jackpot for tonight's drawing is not a record is because lotteries like Mega Millions and its multi-jurisdictional rival Powerball use the interest accrued during the annuity period to accumulate the extra money. The interest rate being used for that estimate now is lower than in 2011.

Greg Smith + Goldman Sachs_The resignation letter heard round the world proves what we already know: Washington would like to think it can change the culture of Wall Street -- and it can't.,OK, so who do we believe? In a cover story in New York magazine last month melodramatically headlined "The Emasculation of Wall Street," journalist Gabriel Sherman made the case that the big financial firms were engaged in "something that might be called soul-searching" about their many sins and their wildly overcompensated contribution to the U.S. economy. Wall Street, under the whip of the giant Dodd-Frank law, was learning to behave. Reduced compensation packages and increased capital requirements were going to tame or snuff out some of the riskier and most reckless practices that brought the nation to the edge of a second Great Depression, Sherman wrote. Best of all, the domestication of Wall Street would redirect the best minds in the nation back into useful things like real engineering rather than financial engineering. Cool!
New York Times divorce formula_It's no surprise that the Hollywood set doesn't have the best track record when it comes to "till death do us part." It seems that a week doesn't go by without a Tinseltown couple calling it quits, and the attendant media firestorm, desperate pleas for privacy and speculation as to who will walk away with what.
But with the odds stacked against them -- according to the International Business Times, celebrity marriages have a 35 percent success rate -- what if there was a formula that could calculate whether or not a couple was destined for "happily ever after," before they were even married?
It's part marketing stunt, part genuine charitable initiative -- and it's generating lots of double-takes and chatter from those who pass by.
"I'm Melvin, a 4G hotspot," reads the T-shirt of participant Melvin Hughes. "SMS HH Melvin to 25827 for access."
Hughes is carrying a Verizon MiFi 4G hotspot. Texting his code sends back his network password, which the recipient can use to suck down a few minutes of fast broadband access -- a scarce commodity at SXSW, a tech/film/music gathering that has drawn more than 20,000 visitors to Austin, Texas.
Access is pay-what-you-want, though $2 per 15 minutes is the suggested donation, payable through Paypal or Venmo. BBH Labs, the project's organizer, says it will pay all the proceeds directly to the participant who made the sale.
But Bales’s decision to join the Army also came at a pivotal point in his pre-military career — a career as a stock trader that appears to have ended months after he was accused of engaging in financial fraud while handling the retirement account of an elderly client in Ohio, according to financial records.
An arbitrator later ordered Bales and the owner of the firm that employed him to pay $1.4 million — about half for compensation and half in punitive damages — for taking part in “fraud” and “unauthorized trading,” according to a ruling from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the independent disciplinary board for brokers and brokerage houses.

Sarah Tressler Who Doubles As A Stripper Is Also An Adjunct Professor, It seems that a conservative Houston newspaper has somewhat of a Clark Kent on their hands...except instead of being a reporter by day and superhero by night, Sarah Tressler is a reporter by day and a stripper by night.
Tressler, 29, has been a reporter for the society section of the Houston Chronicle since last April, but her second job was just recently exposed by rival newspaper, The Houston Press.
Besides discovering from her online postings that she dances at local clubs St. James and The Men's club, the Houston Press also unearthed that Tressler is an adjunct professor at the University of Houston where she also received her bachelor's degree. Combat diabetes weight surgery, New research gives clear proof that patients can combat diabetes withweight loss surgery and some doctors and suggesting that the procedure itself is a cure. In addition, physicians say the operation should be offered sooner to more people with the disease – not just as a last resort.
The two studies, released on Monday, are the first to compare stomach-reducing operations to medicines alone for “diabesity” – Type 2 diabetes brought on by obesity. Millions of Americans have this and can’t make enough insulin or use what they do make to process sugar from food. Both studies found that surgery helped far more patients achieve normal blood-sugar levels than medicines alone did.
Jamie Lynn Sigler and Cutter Dykstra, formerly of hit television show "The Sopranos," is dating baseball player Cutter Dykstra, son of the former Mets star Lenny Dykstra.

"Had an amazing time with you, I miss you so much," posted the baseball player. "The last week flew by."
An insider told The New York Post that Sigler was very happy with the new relationship, and that even though the two live a ways away- Sigler lives in Los Angeles, Calif., and Dykstra plays for Washington- they make it work.
A team of US researchers used underwater vehicles and a process called two-dimensional gas chromatography to match the source of the petroleum hydrocarbons they found with those that emerged from the BP spill.
They found that coral along the sea floor near the well was covered with some sort of brown material and appeared to show signs of tissue damage. A survey of coral 12 miles (20 kilometers) from the Macondo well showed no such damage.
Since sea bed coral lies some 4,000 feet (1,200 meters) below the surface, it is not usually harmed by spills from oil tankers, according to lead study author Helen White, an assistant professor of chemistry at Haverford College in Pennsylvania.
"We would not expect deep-water corals to be impacted by a typical oil spill, but the sheer magnitude of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and its release at depth make it very different from a tanker running aground and spilling its contents," she said.
Sam Donaldson, is a veteran reporter and alumnus of the University of Texas at El Paso. He addressed an estimated 250 students at UTEP’s Centennial Lecture Series and talked politics. He emphasized that moderate voters would be the ones to decide the outcome of the 2012 presidential election and believes that it is the middle class who elects presidents.
Donaldson is respected for his knowledge on politics and predicts that in the end it will be Mitt Romney against Barack Obama.
But being a reporter isn’t as always easy going as it seems. Donaldson has been known to have an angry side and the following YouTube video shows him losing his temper at a woman and waving his microphone at his crew:
BMW recalls 1.3 million cars worldwide, the world's largest premium carmaker, is recalling about 1.3 million cars for repair worldwide due to a possible problem with a battery cable cover in the trunk, the carmaker said on Monday.
The recall affects 5- and 6-Series BMWs built between 2003 and 2010, BMW said in a statement.
"In some remote cases, the battery cable cover inside the boot of these vehicles may be incorrectly mounted," it said.
"This can result in the electrical system malfunctioning, the vehicle failing to start and, in some cases, to charring or fire," the company said, adding it was not aware of any accidents or injuries to people due to the problem.
