Last minute wedding checklist
Last minute wedding checklist, A lot of time, effort and work go into planning a wedding. While most of the preparations take place in the final months leading up to the event, there are some that need to be taken care of in the final week. The week of the wedding can be a stressful time, and it can seem overwhelming. If you prepare in advance by creating and using a last minute checklist, your final week of preparations will go smoothly.
Confirm Your Vendors
Call all of your vendors three days before your wedding to confirm the directions and time for your wedding. Make sure you have a cell phone number for each deliverer to ensure you can contact them if anything goes wrong.
Make Your Final Payments
Within the last five days leading up to the wedding, make your final payment to each vendor. This way you can walk down the aisle assured that all payments have been taken care of.
Pack For Your Honeymoon
Pack for your honeymoon no later than the day before the wedding. You will know all is taken care of, and you will not be rushing to do it on the day you get married.
Talk to Your Photographer
Call your photographer with a finalized list of all the shots you want him to take during the ceremony and reception. If you have already given the vendor a list, have him confirm it for you.
Create an Itinerary
Write out a day-of-the-wedding itinerary with an hour-by-hour time line of what needs to be done. If you have any appointments that day, such as hair and makeup, include them in the list.
Review and Arrange Printed Materials
Give your wedding programs, escort cards and seating cards a last check to make sure everything is spelled correctly. Organize all of your escort cards and seating cards into alphabetical order so that they are easy to set out on the day of the wedding.
Check the Forecast
If you're holding your wedding or reception outdoors, check the local forecast. If it's going to rain, call the venue and see if they can move the ceremony inside.
Put Together an Emergency Kit
Pack a small emergency kit to take with you to the wedding. Pack essential items such as extra cash, your cell phone, and a list of all vendor phone numbers. Also include clear nail polish, bobby pins, safety pins, and hairspray for any unforeseen disasters.
