Dad Facebook girl duct tape. Chicago police are investigating the posting to Facebook of a photo that appears to show a young girl with her hands and legs bound and her mouth covered with tape. The picture, seen above, was recently posted to the Facebook page of Andre Curry, a 21-year-old Chicago man.
The photo carried the notation, “This is wut happens wen my baby hits me back. ; ).” Hours after the photo was originally posted, a Facebook friend of Curry’s wrote, “U goin to jail.” Je’Vanna Cobbins, a second Facebook friend, wrote, “really??? Dre.” Cobbins, a Chicago resident, told TSG she believes Curry was just “playing around,” adding that, “I wouldn’t say it was child abuse.” Cobbins said that Curry–who once dated her sister–would “never do anything to harm anyone.” While noting that the image went “a bit too far,” Cobbins added that Curry was “being playful with his child. People play with their child differently.”
Remember when Lauryn Hill was supposedly like If I knew white people were gonna listen to my music I would have never made it? I bet Mark Zuckerberg sees black people using facebook like this and thinks the same shit. Chicks are always changing their names to like “Sweetlips” and taking pictures of themselves when they are pregnant and shit. Dude are always like “Deandre Tha Kid” and are either taking pictures in front of their motorcycles or apparently their children bound in duct tape. Its just like a whole different world on facbeook for black people.
Meanwhile they are probably so confused when they see white girls taking spring break pictures. The pose were like 30 girls all put their arms around each other and face the ocean and someone takes a picture of their backs. Or when they take a picture of just their stomach and legs in a bikini. And for dudes its always just pictures of them funneling beers or Viva La Stool signs in front of their passed out roommates. Its just like an entirely different use of the website depending on your race.
I’m torn on what the best part of this story is. Either A) the caption reading “when she hits me back” just basically conceding that prior to duct taping your daughter like a kidnapping victim you were beating her or B) “U goin to jail” from a facebook friend. I’m gonna go with option B because child abuse isn’t all that funny.
