Jeter's parting baseballs
Jeter's Parting Baseballs, Baseball lothario Derek Jeter gives a basket of signed swag as a send-off to his one-night stands.
He may be a Yankee on the field, but he's a tiger with women, and sending them off with baseball-themed swag bags after late-night romps.

Derek Jeter has been playing the field since his split with actress Minka Kelly, and sending his hook-ups home with a treasure trove of signed gear.

A friend told the New York Post: 'Derek has girls stay with him at his apartment in New York, and then he gets them a car to take them home the next day.

'Waiting in his car is a gift basket containing signed Jeter memorabilia, usually a signed baseball.'

He was reportedly caught when he bestowed the gift basket on the same woman twice – forgetting he had bedded her once before.

The friend said: 'Jeter seemed to have forgotten about the first time and gave her the same identical parting gift, a gift basket with a signed Derek Jeter baseball.'

Jeter is known for leading a mostly private life to avoid the watchful eye of the New York City paparazzi.

The friend told the Post that Jeter often brings women back to his apartment at the Trump World Tower near the United Nations.

He usually hangs out at either the more obscure watering holes, or ones owned by his friends to secure his privacy.

He parted ways with Ms Kelly, who most recently starred in the cancelled Charlie's Angels reboot, in August after three years together.

Jeter was granted a one-way ticket into the Baseball Hall of Fame this past season when he captured his 3,000th hit at Yankee Stadium. derek jeter gifts, Trump Tower New York City,

The shortstop will be interviewed tomorrow night by Barbra Walters as a part of her 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011 TV special.

Walters said that the baseball star told her that he’d like to own an athletic team at some point.

Walters said: 'I told him, "You're making a lot of money. You could buy one," And he says, "Great. I'll buy one with you." We made a deal.'
