Mel Gibson's Ex-Wife Gets Estimated $425M in Divorce
Mel Gibson's Ex-Wife Gets Estimated $425M in Divorce, Mel Gibson and his ex-wife, Robyn, have finalized the divorce proceedings for their 30 year marriage. The Friday court decision on the division of the property of the marriage between the two is considered the biggest in history. Mel Gibson will be required to give half of his income to Robyn in the agreement set out.

While some project it is in the tens of millions, what defines this as one of the largest, is future income will also be divided as well. Gibson gets paid for residuals of movies he’s made in the past so the checks roll in every year for the movies and bits used during the year.

According to People Magazine, the actor could have an annual income of close to 850 million dollars in 2008, which would be divided equally. Since the couple didn’t have a prenuptial agreement the laws of California entitle each party to have up to half for what is earned during the marriage.

As for earnings in the future, since the funds would be for movies made during the actor’s time married, his ex-wife will receive half of those too.

While some are feeling bad for the actor, many point to the fact that his ex-wife hasn’t ever revealed any personal information about Gibson and taking the high road in regards to public statements during the divorce so maybe that type of loyalty is worth all the money
