Pippa Middleton Seeks Role as Olympics Ambassador
Pippa Middleton Seeks Role as Olympics Ambassador, Pippa Middleton was in the running Sunday to be paraded alongside her sister and royal brother-in-laws as an official ambassador for next year's London Olympics.

The sports-mad younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge was understood to have opened talks with two Olympic bodies through a PR company.

Her representatives' pitch is for Middleton, who rose to fame after the British royal wedding in April, to promote fitness and pay visits to youth sports programs in the buildup to the Games.

While being widely admired for her slender figure, Middleton generated a lot of headlines while competing in a triathlon and road races in recent months.

"Pippa does have a lot of common sense and she's passionate about sport," a source told The (London) Sunday Times. "Her advisers have been talking to [Games organizing committee] Locog and the British Olympic Association to work out what role she can play next year."

The Duchess of Cambridge already was confirmed as a 2012 ambassador alongside her husband, the Duke of Cambridge, and Prince Harry.

"Obviously her sister will be involved and Pippa is keen to play a part too," the source added. "Nothing has been signed yet but she has been getting advice from a discreet PR firm, who are working out which steps to take."
