Roy Kronk sues Casey Anthony, The latest person to sue Casey Anthony is Roy Kronk, the meter reader who discovered Caylee Anthony's remains in late 2008 and was then implicated to some extent in the case by her defense.

Kronk is suing Anthony for defamation.

"Casey Anthony, through her attorneys, made statements too numerous to recite," states the lawsuit filed Wednesday by Kronk attorney Howard Marks.

The "false and defamatory" statements involving Kronk, include that he was Caylee's killer; he is a child snatcher; he is guilty; he played a role in placing the body; he removed the remains; he planted the remains; and "is morally bankrupt, took the body and hid it."

He becomes the third person or entity currently suing 25-year-old Anthony.

Anthony was found not guilty earlier this year of first-degree murder and other serious charges in connection with the 2008 death of her 2-year-old Caylee Marie.

Since then she has disappeared from the public eye, but her legal problems have moved from the criminal court to the civil.

Zenaida Gonzalez, who has the same or similar name of the person Anthony told authorities abducted her child, has sued her for defamation.

Texas EquuSearch, the organization that organized searches for the child in 2008, also is suing Anthony to try to recoup some of the funds it spent conducting the searches.

While Anthony told authorities, family and friends early on in the case that her daughter had been abducted, her attorney, Jose Baez, during the criminal trial said Anthony was aware her daughter had drowned in the family pool.

Kronk, working as a meter reader in 2008, discovered the child's remains in woods near the Anthony home and reported what he saw to authorities.

But Kronk later became a figure Anthony's criminal defense team directed blame and suspicion toward.

"If Casey Anthony's story is true that Caylee Anthony drowned in the family swimming pool on June 16, 2008, then she knew that the statements she authorized and permitted her agents to publish were false," the Kronk suit states.

"In an attempt to find someone other than herself to blame for the tragic death of her child, Casey Anthony authorized and permitted her attorneys, as her agents, to make false and malicious statements against Kronk, and to portray him as the murderer of her child," the complaint adds.

The lawsuit also says Anthony, through her attorneys, refused to retract the damaging statements about Kronk.

"Casey Anthony, through her attorneys, responded the statements were not false, and that the statements would stand," the lawsuit states.

The six-page Kronk lawsuit filed in Orange Circuit Court seeks damages in excess of $15,000, alleging defamation on its face and defamation by innuendo. It demands a jury trial.
