Winnie the pooh day
Winnie the pooh day _January 18th every year is considered ‘Winnie the Pooh Day.’ This should be fun for all the little kids because many of them love Winnie the Pooh and all his friends. Even the little kid in all the adults can enjoy this day guilt free!

The creator and author of Winnie the Pooh, A.A. Milne, was born on this day in 1882. He wrote many children’s books, but the most famous was that of Winnie the Pooh. The author’s name actually is Allan Alexamder Milne, but everyone seems to recognize A.A. Milne more. He created the honey loving bear along with his friends, Christopher Robin, Rabbit, Roo & Kanga, Eeyore (my personal favorite), Tigger, and Piglet. There are other characters, but you tend to see these more.
Today, of course, is a day to get out all those Pooh Bear books and movies to read and watch, especially if you have little kids to share them with. I always like to correlate my meals with this day because if Pooh liked honey, then honey is what we’ll eat! Lunch is perfect for this because we usually will have peanut butter and honey sandwiches. My son loves this meal and it’s not a bad homage to the character. Some people like making arts and crafts pertaining to the characters of the stories. Many people will color/draw pictures of them as well. Whatever you decide to do, remember the person who created this story series and appreciate what he did long before our time!

This is a “Special Pooh Day” in History.

As a child did you have a favorite character, television show or inspiration? Bring back memories today with your children in a fun and exciting way.

Winnie the Pooh Day was created to celebrate the birthday, of the creator A.A. Milne; born January 18,1882 and died in 1928. Milne wrote about Winnie the Pooh and all of his friends, which were stuffed animals that belonged to his son Christopher Robin Milne. Christopher Robin is also a character in the stories.
