Allen Iverson:Report: Allen Iverson's Bank Account Seized
Allen Iverson:Report: Allen Iverson's Bank Account Seized _Multiple sources are reporting former NBA All-Star Allen Iverson will have his Georgia bank account seized and any future earnings garnished due to extreme financial debts.

Iverson owes $860,000 to a jeweler (in an undisclosed location), and being unable to cut a check, was slapped with the seizure order from a Georgia judge.

Allen Iverson was once the talk of the NBA.

His gritty, tough, and passionate play earned him both friends and foes alike.

Since his last stint in the league with the Sixers in 2010, Iverson played in the Turkish pro league. Over the last few weeks, Iverson has been rumored to land in the Venezuelan or Puerto Rican pro league or with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Neither rumor has gained much traction, and in light of the most recent news regarding Iverson’s finances, may not.

If Iverson cannot play pro basketball again, it will be a sad finish to a career that once seemed full of promise.

The Georgetown product spent money like it was going out of style.

Iverson employed a huge posse– which included his personal hair-stylist and tattoo artist.

Iverson brought this posse along with him on all 76ers road trips and other excursions. The Sixers guard also had a penchant for purchasing expensive jewelry for himself and his mother Ann, some of which led to the $860,000 bill.

In total, Iverson blew as much as $154 million in earnings, and now must find whatever work he can, wherever it may be, to try and dig out of a huge hole of his own creation.

It’s another sad story of a talented player who was an irresponsible person and let his own wealth run his life.

Money can be a very evil thing if it is allowed to be.

Allen Iverson made it his own personal demon.
