Carmelo Anthony Engaged 2004, Married 2010--In 2004, Anthony became engaged to La La Valasquez. Their son, Kiyan Carmelo Anthony, was born on March 7, 2007. Anthony and La La were married July 10, 2010.

The couple, who had been engaged since Christmas 2004, were united at a Manhattan gala featuring "marble columns and chandeliers," and a "red-themed celebration featuring red table cloths, centerpieces of red Ecuadorian roses, hundreds of candles and thousands of red roses hanging from the high ceiling," People magazine reported Saturday.


Dr. Michael Eric Dyson performed the ceremony before an A-List crowd that included Justin Timberlake, LeBron James, Spike Lee and Ludacris.

Vazquez wore a Vera Wang wedding dress, and the couple's 3-year-old son Kiyan was the ring bearer. The centerpiece of the reception was a five-tiered wedding cake adorned with red flowers.

The wedding weekend was inaugurated Friday was a rehearsal dinner on a gambling boat. The entire event, planned by Mindy Weiss, will be broadcast on an upcoming VH1 reality show.
