'Dancing With the Stars'Where Are They Now, A recent article posed a question about the current cast of "Dancing with the Stars," basically asking if they stunk. (Okay, so they used a different word, but in case any young people stumble upon this article it would probably be best to keep it age appropriate.) The article then went on to quote readers on various social networks, with one stating that they would only watch if Brad Pitt joined in. Granted, most of the people on the list are not the first names that come to mind when you think of celebrities, but a good amount of them are anything but washed up has-beens, and it is an insult to think of them that way. Not sold on that? Then take a look at the following three before making up your mind.
An R&B Legend

Even if you are too young to have ever uttered the name Gladys Knight and the Pips, you would probably recognize one of their songs if it suddenly played on the radio. Does "Midnight Train to Georgia" ring a bell? Thought so. The furthest thing from a one hit wonder, Knight has been performing since the 50's, with a career that has earned multiple Grammy awards, and even moved on to a successful solo career during the '90s. Many look to her as an inspiration, which is not something that can be said about just anyone.
A Tennis Legend
Just because someone does not play a sport anymore or play as much does not automatically make them a has-been, especially an athlete such as Martina Navratilova. Raise your hand if you have been able to win 167 different titles in your career. Not too many people can, but Navratilova would not be one of them. This superb athlete dominated women's tennis during the '70s and '80s, taking home a variety of championships, including Wimbledon (which she won 9 times) and the U.S. Open (which she won four times.) With that kind of record, being called a has-been or D-list celebrity just does not seem to fit.
The International Star
Just because someone is not well known in the United States (though that can be argued among those that devotedly watch Telenovelas) does not mean they are not a star in their own right. Take William Levy as a very handsome example. During his time working on Spanish television, Levy had many people glued to their sets to view the "The Latin Brad Pitt," and somehow got more tongues to wag when he appeared in Jennifer Lopez's "I'm Into You" video. How good was their chemistry you ask? Well, it was so good, it was rumored that perhaps Levy was the reason the "American Idol" judge broke up with her husband (something Levy denies.) Those are the makings of a star that is about to break out, not a has-been or wanna be seeking attention.
What do you think of the current "Dancing with the Stars" cast?
