Rush Limbaugh Sut
Rush Limbaugh Sut_Rush Limbaugh is being smacked around by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi for calling Georgetown University student Sandra Fluke a slut and a prostitute.
Fluke had been denied the chance to testify at hearings held by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., to discuss President Obama's contraceptive rule.
Only male religious leaders and scholars were allowed to testify at the hearings, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Pelosi responded by holding hearings of her own. Fluke testified about the need for contraception.
Which got Rush Limbaugh in a lather.
"What does it say about the college co-ed Sandra Fluke, who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex, what does that make her? It makes her a slut, right?" he said.
"It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She's having so much sex she can't afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex. What does that make us? We're the pimps."
After a moment he decided that maybe pimps wasn't quite the right word. Neither was johns. And maybe he was mistaken about slut as well.
"She's 'round-heeled.' I take it back," he said.
And what does round-heeled mean?
Slutty.
"Can you imagine if you're her parents how proud of Sandra Fluke you would be?" Limbaugh continued. "Your daughter goes up to a congressional hearing conducted by the Botox-filled Nancy Pelosi and testifies she's having so much sex she can't afford her own birth control pills and she agrees that Obama should provide them, or the Pope."
Here's the full transcript.
Pelosi circulated a fundraising letter in which she said, "Vicious and inappropriate attacks are being leveled at Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown law student that Republicans refused to let testify at an all-male panel on birth control coverage."
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee's position on the matter is that "standing up for women's rights" does not make a person a slut or a prostitute.
