Monroe statue leaving, Fans of the Marilyn Monroe statue on Michigan Avenue have a week to say goodbye.
The 40,000-pound sculpture called "Forever Marilyn" that stands in Pioneer Court is leaving Monday.
The statue depicts Monroe, with closed eyes, attempting to push down her dress, which has blown upward -- a reference to a famous scene in her 1955 movie "The Seven Year Itch."
The owners have not said where it's going next.
The statue by American artist Seward Johnson, has been a major tourist attraction since it got here last July.
