Tanning mom doll,Patricia Krentcil aka "Tanning Mom," has inspired an action figure in her likeness. The "tanorexic doll" depicts the New Jersey mother accused of taking her five-year-old daughter to a spa.

Ever since the news hit last week that Krentcil allegedly took her daughter to a local spa and allowed her to tan in the booth with her, social media outlets have carried updates on the story.

According to a Fox News report on 5/9/12, a Connecticut maker of novelty toys is selling the so-called tanning doll inspired by Patricia Krentcil.
Emil Vicale, a company spokesperson for Hero Builders out of Oxford, said most people know at least one person who is "heavy" into tanning like the "tanorexic" mom from New Jersey.

"We thought it was a funny thing to do," he said of the novelty doll.

However, if you don't like the "tanorexic doll," HeroBuilders.com says you can have an action figure custom-made to look like you or your tanning buddies. Reportedly, the "Tanning Mom" action figure doll (shown in this photo) sells for $29.95. Additionally, the company is behind Anthony Weiner, Michaele Salahi, and the Real Housewives of New Jersey dolls.
