Man, 101, robbed at home twice, A 28-year-old man told police he was shot twice in the hip during a robbery attempt after two people dressed as utility workers forced their way into his home.

Greensboro police responded to a shooting at 101 Village Lane about 4:15 p.m. Thursday.

They found Eric Brooks lying in the parking lot suffering two gunshot wounds, police said in a news release.

He told officers two people dressed as utility workers forced their way into his home and tried to rob him.

Brooks was transported to Moses Cone Hospital.

Police did not describe his condition in the news release. His condition was not immediately available as of Friday morning.
