Sharon Tate's ring for sale?
Sharon Tate's ring for sale? How's this for gruesome: The ring actress Sharon Tate was wearing on the night of her infamous murder in 1969 is going up for sale.
On Nov. 30, Tate's engagement ring—given to her by husband Roman Polanski in 1967—will go up for auction at GottaHaveRockandRoll.com, where serious bidders will have to shell out at least $10,000 to potentially own the grim piece of jewelry.
Now, one fan or collector can own the piece of macabre Hollywood history. But who would really want this? Would you want a piece of jewelry from such a gruesome crime scene? It's pretty sick, right?
Regardless of your stance, this isn't the only weird, dark item hitting the celebrity auction circuit as of late. Coming up on Dec. 17, Julien's Auction house was slated to auction off the headboard from the bed Michael Jackson slept in when he died in 2009, but the item was recently removed from the celebrity sale. Now they're just selling a mirror from MJ's bedroom, some of his furniture, and a chalkboard with the words "I love Daddy" written on it by one of his kids. A little less creepy, but still, very strange.
So, how about a little light Christmas shopping, guys? Any takers on the Sharon Tate ring? Anyone?
