Kate Hudson aspen tent wedding
Kate Hudson aspen tent wedding, Kate Hudson married Chris Robinson on Decemeber 31, 2000 at her parents ranch near Aspen, Colorado. Seventy guests were in attendance for the New Year’s Eve nuptials. Vows took place in a small white tent in front of a burning fire.A string quartet played the traditional “Wedding March,” as Hudson walked down the aisle on the arm of her father, Kurt Russell. Surrounded by white candles and white flowers, she wore a strapless ivory satin gown by Vera Wang with a hand-stitched corset bodice and full-length matching coat to keep warm. Her mother, Goldie Hawn, wore a Vera Wang slip dress and ivory satin boots laced up to the knee, which matched the bride.
The couple recited personal vows in a 20-minute ceremony officiated by an Ute Indian shaman. After exchanging Neil Lane wedding bands, the groom’s parents wrapped the newlyweds in a blanket to symbolize the two becoming one.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Elk Mountain Lodge. Dinner included filet mignon and salmon served by local caterer, Fusion Design & Catering. As the evening went on, guests hit the dance floor to the sounds of country band BR5-49 before Robinson serenaded his bride and performed an Elvis duet with his new father-in-law, Kurt Russell, much to the delight of the crowd.
