Mena Suvari wedding vatican city,  Mena Suvari must have been hoping it would be second time lucky as she married her boyfriend of three years in Italy yesterday.

Mena, 31, was married to the 18-years-older cinematographer Robert Brinkmann from 2000 to 2006.
This time around she has chosen someone closer to her in age, in 25-year old concert producer Simone Sestito.

The pair, who got engaged in 2008, chose a private chapel within the Vatican City for their ceremony as most of the groom's family live around Rome.
After the wedding the couple threw a private reception at Castello Odescalchi, in Bracciano
Mena went to great lengths to keep her new husbands family happy.
She revealed to OK! magazine in an interview last year how she planned to have her wedding dress customised to cover her tattoos.

'I think it would be considerate to (Sestito's) family to have my tattoos covered, since there are two nuns on his mother's side of the family', she said.
Her tattoos include, among others, a lion on her neck and upper back.
'The ceremony was truly unique and Mena looked breathtaking,' a guest told People.com. 'They are very much in love.'
Mena, star of the American Pie movies, and Simone met at the Toronto film festival in 2007.

'We just understood each other,' Sestito told People magazine in 2008.
'She's very caring and understanding. There was a connection.'
Ironically, Mena's next movie is a comedy entitled You May Not Kiss The Bride, about a photographer who is forced into marrying a woman he doesn't know who then gets kidnapped.
