Skating rink do it yourself
Skating rink do it yourself, If you have not had the chance to check out the temporary skating rink that has been installed in downtown Tahlequah, you need to come check it out .

Even if you do not skate, you can come down and grab yourself some dinner at the Iguana, Sam and Ellas,Town Branch, Vidalias.

Or, you can even grab a hot chocolate, etc... at the concessions located on the grounds.

Last night was a great night to go watch the skaters, and just enjoy the company that was around, even though it was a little nippy after the sun went down.

To get the schedule, you will have to google the tahlequah chamber of commerce website.

Another thing though, if you are down at the rink, and the shops are open, take the time in between sessions, to go and check out some of the great local shops and artisans.

Places like Myers Studio & Fine Art Gallery offer a bit of the unique and local from pictures& jewelry, to pillows, etc....

You can also check out Everything Under the Sun for some truly unique gifts for all ocassions, if you are a Brighton fan then go and check out Edies, but if you fancy something more hip, then stop by Junies.

If you seek jewelry as a gift for the holidays then stop in and see the staff at Meigs, also if you seek that perfect formal event dress pop into Kimberly's, if you are trying to keep the holiday crud that is floating around at bay, check out your local dr, or you might pop into Oasis to see what they have to help you naturally.
Finally if you have burned up those shoes walking around, pop into Felts for a new pair, or if you have vintage gifts on the mind go across the street to Vintage on Main. But, if you have fun and funky on the mind, then a stop at Southern Bling might be on your plate.
After all that shopping you'll want a snack or late dinner, so check out the boomerang diner, or for a snack during the day pop by Morgans.
Once all the shopping and eating is done, then go back for another session to the skating rink, to work all the good local food off, and then crash at home, with a warm drink and the ones you love, and have a happy holiday, and a great 2012!
