Singer Pink Goes Back to Her Roots
Singer Pink Goes Back to Her Roots_Katy Perry has gone back to blonde, leaving her relatively brief pretty-in-pink past behind and returning to her roots in platinum style. Spotted at the Los Angeles International Airport last Sunday, the pop sensation debuted flaxen-hued, shoulder-length locks that just barely retained the blush of a cotton-candy-colored glow. It was a discreet yet definite indication of her prior sugary pink phase and the fact that her final transition to blonde is yet to be complete.
Perry is on her way to the UK for a guest appearance and performance on the British version of Simon Cowell's hit talent competition, The X Factor, this Sunday, as Daily Mail reports. A busy girl, the "Last Friday Night" singer is also set to kick off the UK leg of her California Dreams tour in London on October 14. It looks as if she thought she would have far more fun during these upcoming events as a blonde!
Returning to her natural, fair-haired color was obviously a much easier (and less damaging!) step than Katy Perry's transformation from her former jet black to the statement-making pink. She was initially forced to have her hair stripped of the deep black dye, prompting a summer defined by different tints of red and ginger before the she was in the pink.
But it is not all about the next great shade for this chameleon of hair color. Katy Perry is also making waves with a second fragrance, set to debut in December, just in time for the holidays. She's even giving fans the opportunity through Twitter to guess the name of the scent. The grand prize for guessing correctly? An opportunity to secure guest list status at the launch event, which will no doubt be a hot ticket and a star-studded affair. Perry's first spritz is called Purr. Perhaps her next will also channel a sassy feline inspiration.
