Lohan Liz Dick investigation
Lohan Liz Dick investigation,Two Hollywood unions are investigating the working conditions on the set of Liz & Dick, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The investigation comes after Lindsay Lohan, who is starring in the film as Elizabeth Taylor, allegedly suffered "exhaustion and dehydration" while filming the biopic about Taylor's romance with Richard Burton. Two crew members also reportedly quit after being admitted to the hospital for the same reasons.
Last week, paramedics were called to Lohan's hotel room after the actress was found unconscious. Lohan explained what happened on Twitter. "After working 85 hours in 4 days, and being up all night shooting, be very aware that you might pass out from exhaustion," she wrote. If Lohan's tweet is true, the shooting schedule for the Lifetime movie might exceed union regulations and/or state labor laws. The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists has confirmed its representatives have visited the set and "will continue to visit" to enforce guild rules. IATSE, the stage employees union, has also visited the production.
"We have had union representatives on the set since Last Friday [June 15] and will continue to monitor the hours and working conditions there," said Mike Miller, IATSE's division director of motion picture and television production.
According to Liz & Dick producer Larry Thompson, a SAG-AFTRA rep visited the set on Tuesday and "was totally fine with everything."
Liz & Dick is set to wrap filming at the end of this month.
