Stallone Son Funeral Westboro, Sage Stallone’s death was tragic enough without the interference from members of the Westboro Baptist Church. Sylvester Stallone’s son, who was found dead from an overdose last week, died at the age of 36. He appeared alongside his father in the 1990 movie, “Rocky 5.” Not long after his death hit headlines, the highly controversial Westboro Baptist Church thought it would be a good idea to picket at Sage’s funeral.

Margie Phelps, daughter of Westboro church leader Fred Phelps, first tweeted this to her 5,600 followers July 13:

“Thrice-married rebel taught his son to mock God. â€ھ#picketfuneral‬”

Why does Westboro Baptist Church members want to picket at Sage Stallone’s funeral? Apparently because his mega star father had three previous relationships.

“Adulterous dad brought wrath of God on son. â€ھ#BloodOnDadsHands‬ â€ھ#picketfuneral‬ â€ھ#woe‬,” Phelps tweeted then added, “Tell @TheSlyStallone to mourn for his sins, not pimp out son’s dead body to more proud sin!”

Westboro is mostly known for picketing at military funerals and in protest of an anti-gay agendas.

What makes Sylvester Stallone’s prior marriages different from other Hollywood stars to Westboro isn’t clear. Sage was his first child born from his first wife, Sasha Czack. They were married from 1975 to 1985.
