Computer plays Gotye cover, If you thought the cover-mashup of other covers of Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used to Know' was as meta as this internet trend could get, just wait.

After the song exploded earlier this summer, it seemed like there wasn't a corner of the internet you could crawl into without hearing the pop smash.

Now, it seems the sum has become so popular that it's transcended the digital bounds of the internet and become a part of the very machines themselves.


This latest cover uses an HP Scanjet 3C, 2 hard drives, and a xylophone to reproduce the Gotye hit. Of course, the composer clearly didn't use a modem to compose any portion of the song – if he had a working internet connection, he'd know we only care about 'Gangnam Style' covers now.
