X Factor auditions 2012,"X Factor" USA 2012 auditions continued in Providence, RI airing September 26, 2012 on FOX. At that time we were introduced to Dinah Jane Hansen from Santa Ana CA, a 15-year-old high school student at Orange County High School with a set of pipes that rival those of Beyonce, at least according to "X Factor" judge, L.A. Reid.
"X Factor" judge Demi Lovato, as usual, asked for a little background information from from Dinah Jane and she was more than willing to comply.
Dinah Jane explained that she lives with her grandparents along with her mom, her aunts, uncles and all of the other grandchildren, totaling 23 people in one 4 bedroom home. Simon Cowell wanted to know how that was possible and Dinah Jane told him that, "we share bedrooms". Simon was taken aback saying, "I think we should just sing now".
Beyonce's "If I were a Boy" was Dinah Jane's song choice for her "X Factor" 2012 audition. The beginning was a bit slow, it seemed to be a little low keyed for her voice but when she hit those higher notes the transformation was amazing. The judges took notice, the audience came to life and the world cheered. This young lady had what it takes to become a star. Dinah Jane has the "X Factor".
Simon Cowell raised his hand for Dinah Jane to stop halfway through her "X Factor" audition. The crowd went wild, jumping to their feet, clapping and cheering wildly. The judges had heard enough, they were ready to comment and vote.
Demi Lovato was the first to speak, "Wow. I want to hear what you have to say L.A.", he was happy to oblige.
"OMG, It's so tough to take a song from Beyoncé and actually do it justice but I have to tell you, you took that thing to places that even Beyoncé didn't take it. And you didn't copy her. That was unbelievable."
Britney Spears was a little reserved giving a generic comment that I've heard her give many times during the "X Factor" 2012 auditions, "You made my day. I felt like I had a connection with you the moment you started singing and you really delivered. It was amazing. It was very good"
Demi Lovato on the other hand was a bit more believable. "I got the chills several times while you were singing and that doesn't happen with me a lot. You are someone that I will buy your music one day. I just see you going really far. You have an incredible voice."
And now for the icing on the cake. Simon "X Factor" Cowell gave his critique. "This is why we came to Providence RI...to find someone like you. If you just sang that one on behalf of your family, your family are going to be very proud of you. Really."
Dinah Jane Hansen received four yeses from the "X Factor" judges. She will be going to boot camp.
Judge L.A. Reid predicts that Dinah Jane will be one of the "X Factor" 2012 finalists. With a voice like that, I wouldn't be surprised. Good luck Dinah Jane.
