Life and Career


Sandra Bullock was born on the 26th of July, 1964 , Arlington, Virginia, USA. Her father,John W. Bullock, is a voice coach and contractor from Alabama, while her late mother,Helga D. Meyer –Bullock, was an opera singer. Sandra’s mother died in Arlington, on the 4th of April, 2000.

She attended Washington-Lee High School, and was admitted into East Carolina University ,[[Greenville, North Carolina.In her senior year, she left the university to pursue a career in acting, but later returned to complete her studies.4

Sandra Bullock began singing at a little age. She was always in the children’s chorus wherever her mother was performing. Her singing talent later got her a singing role in the movie`` The Thing Called Love.

Her acting career started when she dropped out of the university. She featured in some student films but didn’t gain recognition until she starred in `` Demolition Man `` alongside Wesley Snipes and Sylvester Stallone. Sandra rose to stardom in 1994after her role in ``Speed’’,for which she won the Saturn Award for Best Actress.She has starred in so many films since then, and her latest film ``Blind Side``, got her nominated for the 82nd Academy Award for Actress in a Leading Role.
