Teacher killed for taking students phone-A student in China has killed his teacher during an attack prompted by the man taking away the pupil's cellphone.
The incident took place at Fuzhou Lin Chuan No.2 middle school in China's Jiangxi province. The mobile phone was taken away on Friday, in front of the student's whole class.

In China, middle school accommodates students 7 to 9 years old and 10 to 12 years old, Daily Mailspecifies.

The age of the student committing the crime is not known at this point. Chinese authorities have identified him as Lei, according to a report by Global Times China.

Lei used a fruit knife to slice the throat of his teacher, 32-year-old Sun Wakang. He confronted him about the phone on Saturday at around 11:26 am.

Wakang did not return the mobile because school policy requires him to alert the parents, who are then asked to come to the institution and retrieve it.

Lei also visited the vice principal with his parents to resolve the incident. Head of school administration, Xiong Haishui, mentioned that they had a meeting three hours before the murder.

Lei found Wakang in a classroom, preparing for class. Last week, China celebrated Teacher’s Day, a national holiday honoring educators.

He stabbed his carotid artery, causing him to bleed out almost instantly. He fled the scene, but Wakang's screams were heard by a fellow teacher.

The latter called an ambulance, and Wakang was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a father of one.

Officer Pei with the Linchuan police department reports that the suspect has turned himself in with Shanghai police.

China Navis writes that the school is ranked among the best in the area, boasting high college acceptance rates.

“Strict management, good teaching, good study style, optimal school spirit and high quality,” officials describe online.
