In what appears to be either an act of jealousy and/or an attempt at publicity Alexander bluntly calls Britney’s engagement fake. Kevin Federline who was actually married to Spears for longer than 55 hours and fathered her two children, sons, Sean Preston and Jayden, freely gave his blessings. Federline told Australia’s TV Week;
“She is in a good place. She’s happy. She’s doing really well … The engagement is a good step in the right direction. I’m totally happy for her.”
Trawick proposed to Britney last Thursday in Los Angeles while the two were celebrating his 40th birthday (Britney is only 30 by the way). After Britney showered him with lavish gifts, Trawick surprised her with a 3-carat Neil Lane engagement ring.
Alexander tells US Weekly;
“I know everyone wants me to be happy about this, but I am not. I think it’s fake and I think people are afraid to say it. If you look at all the pictures between them there is no connection. They look like they are going through the motions.”
Jason went on to insinuate that Spears was only marrying Jason Trawick in order to get around her current order of conservatorship with her father Jamie Spears.
“It seems like an answer to the court thing. Sort of a nice way to sew it all up she marries her handler. That way she always has someone controlling her. It’s sort of sad.”
So what do you think? Is Jason Alexander having a tantrum because he and Britney didn’t make their love last…or is he right on the money and this display is only a rouse to loosen her fathers grip?
