Martha Stewart show cancelled
Martha Stewart show cancelled, Martha Stewart's daytime show, "The Martha Stewart Show" will reportedly cease production in April 2012.According to the New York Post, who first reported the news, the show's high production cost and low ratings contributed to the canceling of the show. The show is aired on The Hallmark Channel. Though production will stop in April, episodes of the show will continue into September, but according to the Post's source, the episodes may be repeats.
Stewart's show was a daytime talk show stop for chefs, butchers, fellow TV personalities, and more. Stewart had made headlines recently after her daughter, Alexis, published a book, which exposed some less-than-perfect sides of the domestic goddess.
FishbowlNY obtained a copy of an internal memo sent by Lisa Gersh, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia President and COO.
Gersh did not deny that the show had been canceled, but wrote that the Post "had an inaccurate and negative portrayal" of some MSLO businesses and the company's relationship with the Hallmark Channel.
