Taylor Swift:Video Debut: Taylor Swift's 'Safe & Sound'
Taylor Swift:Video Debut: Taylor Swift's 'Safe & Sound' _In a departure from Taylor Swift's usually bubbly and bright music videos, her latest takes us in a cloudier direction. Taylor gets an assist from folk-pop duo The Civil Wars on "Safe & Sound," their featured track on the "Hunger Games" soundtrack. In the video, a sparkle-free Taylor walks barefoot through a dreary forest that's likely meant to represent District 12, the poorest, most desolate area of Panem, where "The Hunger Games" is based.
The Civil Wars take shelter in a dilapidated cabin as Taylor sets out into the woods.

We can't tell if Taylor's on a mission to find food and supplies or to just look pretty in a flowy dress, but we don't really care -- this song is so good. Taylor's made it evident that she's not writing about her crush on Tim McGraw anymore, and her vocals alongside The Civil Wars sound so mature that we almost don't even recognize her. "Just close your eyes, the sun is going down/You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now/Come morning light, you and I will be safe and sound."

"Safe & Sound" was written by Taylor, The Civil Wars and T-Bone Burnett, the film's composer. (Burnett's also worked on Oscar-winning films "Walk The Line" and "Crazy Heart.") The Hunger Games soundtrack drops March 20, and "The Hunger Games" hits theaters March 23.
