Lebron Savannah high school sweetheart together 8 years,Lebron James started the ball rolling after he proposed to his girlfriend of 8 years, Savannah Brinson, during his own birthday celebration on New Year’s day at a nightclub in Miami.

Radio personality Angela Yee broke the news on Twitter when she posted an Instagram photo of Savannah, 26, emotionally accepting the bling from the 27-year-old basketball ace.

Adrienne Bosh, wife of basketball player Chris Bosh, tweeted: “Very excited for tonight’s festivities I got a feeling this is going to be a New Years to remember!”

Lala LaLa Vasquez, wife of basketball player Carmelo Anthony, also wrote on Twitter: “CONGRATS are in order!! 2012 has already come in w/a BANG!! Congrats to @KingJames and @SavannahRB on their engagement!! We love u guys!!”

The high school sweethearts have two sons together, Bronny, 7, and Bryce, 4.
