Rowling is thought to have paid pounds 2million for her new home, which boasts 20 chimneys, four times as many windows and oozes history.
A spooky atmosphere that might inspire the author is right on her doorstep, The author, loved by millions world-wide, has already endeared herself to the staff at Killiechassie by trebling wages. Rowling hasn't moved into the 80-room pile yet but she has been a regular visitor to nearby Aberfeldy since she and partner Neil Murray took ownership.
