Salma Hayek addicted to breastfeeding
Salma Hayek addicted to breastfeeding,Breastfeeding, a natural, healthy act that is a very important part of child development, is a very controversial subject here in the U.S. The argument over whether or not it's okay for women to breastfeed in public has been going on for quite some time now, and it's a very touchy subject with mothers. Many women were outraged when Facebook began removing photographs of mothers breastfeeding. Many breastfeeding advocates protested by bombarding the site with photos of themselves breastfeeding on their profiles. Some even went as far as to stage a public breastfeeding gathering at the company's headquarters. But the war on breastfeeding hasn't stopped there.
Photographs of actress Maggie Gyllenhaal breastfeeding in public were applauded by many women, but some tabloids bashed the actress, stating that she could have at least covered the act with a towel. And she's not the only actress getting attention for breastfeeding on camera.
Salma Hayek has previously stated that she's addicted to breastfeeding, comparing it to be an alcoholic. However, she said she just couldn't stop doing it because she saw how good it was for daughter Valentina. Apparently Salma Hayek really couldn't get enough of breastfeeding, because a viral video of her breastfeeding another woman's child has sparked a big controversy on the web. Some believe the act was courageous and kind; others think it was just wrong and that breast milk should only be shared between a mother and her own child. However, wet nurses are common in many countries. They even exist here in the U.S., where mothers who can't breastfeed because they are on medication, have problems lactating, or simply don't like the idea of breastfeeding turn their children over to wet nurses to feed them, despite the risk of spreading disease.
If Salma Hayek wants to share her breast milk and is disease-free, I see nothing wrong with the act. And of course there's definitely nothing wrong with breast-feeding in general, but when it comes to posting videos and photos of breastfeeding online, I begin to get a little concerned.
Some advocates of this practice are extremely passionate about it, although I can't really understand why. The Internet is breeding ground for perverts who are searching for exactly what these women are offering. Few of these breastfeeding advocates are probably aware of a fetish called erotic lactation, which encompasses many different fetishes that involve lactating women. Lactation pornography usually involves images of women lactating or breastfeeding adult partners, but it's likely that a small niche of those who enjoy this kind of pornography will seek out any photographs of women breastfeeding, even if they were not meant to be pornographic in nature.
So to women who think that they are helping create more breastfeeding awareness by posting pictures and photos online or breastfeeding in public places where many people can see you, just be aware that you may be attracting the wrong kind of attention.
