Christie Brinkley and peter cook

Christie Brinkley and peter cook, Three months after their bitter divorce was settled, Christie Brinkley's ex-husband Peter Cook says he was wrongly portrayed in court."I'm not the ... pervert that I've been painted to be," Cook tells Barbara Walters in an interview that will air Friday on ABC's 20/20.

Asked why he was speaking out now, Cook, 49, who admitted to having an affair with an 18-year-old assistant and an online pornography habit, tells Walters, "The misinformation that came out during the trial is the elephant in the room. It's the elephant in the room for my kids."

During the marriage, he says, "I wanted a little acknowledgment, a little attention, a little thank you every now and then for my efforts, for the amount of time I took to care for her and my family, for the wealth I was building. Just the tremendous amount of work I was putting into my family. ... My world became her world. It had to be that way."

The 54-year-old supermodel's lawyer, Robert Stephan Cohen, released a statement Tuesday saying that Cook may face additional legal action for speaking out about the case.

"It is shocking that Mr. Cook, after having his day in court, would continue this firestorm created by his bizarre behavior by violating an agreement and court order that prohibits either party from discussing their marriage or divorce in any public way," Cohen says. " Ms. Brinkley plans to pursue her legal options arising from his gross disregard of the children and the court order.
WARRING exes Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook have gone back into battle, with Cook filing a 91-page court document packed with explosive insults and petty complaints to counter the supermodel's claim that he owes her child support, sources told the New York Post.

Sources familiar with the affidavit, filed this week in Suffolk County Supreme Court, say that Cook - who made headlines for admitting he had an affair with an 18 year old - says Brinkley is seeking more than $32,000 to reimburse her for expenses for their two kids, including school tuition and summer camp fees.

But Cook insists it is Brinkley who should pay him. His response endlessly catalogs everything from name-calling - he calls her a "narcissistic egomaniac" and complains Brinkley calls him "truly narcissistic" - to niggling about iPhone plans, family vacations and even the $34.65 Cook paid for boat storage.

Cook also alleges Brinkley made him "the scapegoat for all the evils in her life," a source says. He states he cared for their kids for five months while Brinkley was performing in Chicago so he should not have to pay child support during that time - and Brinkley should pay him $25,000.His filing claims that Brinkley even wrote an email to their son, saying that Cook "is jealous of my Broadway and London success."

Another source close to Brinkley says, "It seems Peter's at it again, filing a desperate, mind-numbing 90-page motion responding to her request for him to get up to date on child support, accusing Brinkley of all sorts of things. She has been fending off Cook's attacks since their divorce."

A rep for Brinkley had no comment. Cook told us, "I can't comment on any of that," and his lawyer did not return calls.
Supermodel Christie Brinkley and cheating ex-hubby Peter Cook traded bitter barbs Tuesday but finally reached a truce in their bitter battle over a divorce settlement.

It was a day of confusion and nasty recriminations, reminiscent of their circuslike 2008 divorce trial, before they agreed to the custody and visitation rights to their kids, Jack, 14 and Sailor, 11.

"A leading psychiatrist diagnosed him as a extreme narcissist and that's all I want to say," Brinkley said as she left the courtroom in Riverhead, L.I., in a blue trench coat, black Ray-Ban sunglasses and heels.
