Ciara And Future--Ciara is planning a future with Future.

The R&B singer became engaged to rapper-producer Future over the weekend, a publicist for the couple told the Associated Press.

The "Body Party" songstress, who turned 28 on Friday, was celebrating her birthday in New York with her beau, 29, surprised her with a 15-carat diamond. No wedding date has been set.

"Today Has 2 Be Like One Of The Sweetest Days Of My Life!" Ciara tweeted Sunday, tagging the post "#TheBestBirthdayEver" with rose emoticons. That was followed by, "If I'm Dreaming I Don't Want To Wake Up..Aaaaaahhh!!!:)" and then a single heart.

The couple, who has been dating for a year, has made a string of appearances together on the red carpet in 2013, including the MTV VMAs, BET Awards, and Clive Davis's pre-Grammy gala. In April, things between them looked serious when they debuted matching ring tattoos on that finger. Hers is an "N" (his real name is Nayvadius Cash); his is a "C" (her full name is Ciara Princess Harris).

In an interview with Philly’s Hot 107.9, she talked about how her working relationship with Future, who is currently on tour with Drake, blossomed into love while working on "Body Party" together. (He is featured in the video, which tells the story of how they met.) They later dueted on "Where You Go."

"It just really organically happened," Ciara said. "I didn't expect anything to come from us working together. I didn't even know what to expect from going into the studio with him and then we began to meet each other and everything just began to flow. He is really cool. He is my friend too. So I felt something really unique from the beginning."

Ciara isn't the only famous bride-to-be with a sparkling new 15-carat diamond ring. In a similar proposal story, rapper Kanye West gave Kim Kardashian the same size bauble on her birthday just a week ago.
